Resilience and recovery: Insight-driven transformation

The third edition of The Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Business Barometer which tracks private sector views on the impact of covid-19, has found that opinions differ when it comes to what the recovery from this global crisis will look like. How can businesses ensure that their recovery looks as “V-shaped” as possible?

Unlocking the full potential of one's data is crucial. It has enabled business leaders to make effective and informed decisions and remain resilient during the crisis and moving forward, it will enable organisations to be agile and adaptable as we look to enter the recovery phase. The ability to perceive and interpret the business environment is critical.

What can businesses do to put their capacity to collect and crunch data onto a war footing? What organisational capabilities are required to rapidly respond and ramp up operations? How do businesses need to change and transform to meet new information needs? How can they liberate their data, both vertically and horizontally, and translate this into meaningful business insights?
